CPARS Overview (2.25 hours)


Take Training

This training will give the student an overview of the policies and regulations governing CPARS, the CPARS Workflow, and CPARS Application functionality. Taking the CPARS Overview is a prerequisite to Quality and Narrative Writing and Focal Point Functions.

Target Audience: This class is specifically targeted for those users who have minimal familiarity with the CPARS process.

Quality and Narrative Writing (1.75 hours)


Take Training

This training will give the student an understanding of the need for quality and accuracy in narrative writing, examples of narratives and resources to aid in creating quality Past Performance Evaluations, and examples of strategies for making the CPARS-FAPIIS process more effective. Taking the CPARS Overview is a prerequisite to taking this class.

Target Audience: This session is specifically targeted for Government users responsible for creating and reviewing Contract Past Performance Evaluations, but could also be of benefit to Contractor Representatives. Students taking this class should already have a basic knowledge of policy and workflow, such as that presented in the CPARS Overview class.

Access Authorization (23 minutes)


Take Training

This tutorial provides Focal Points and Alternate Focal Points with a demonstration of how to manage user access in CPARS and FAPIIS. Topics discussed include creating new access assignments, cloning contract and user access, transferring access, changing user roles, updating user profiles, resetting passwords, removing user access, and deleting accounts. There is also a demonstration of how to manage Alternate Focal Point accounts. Note that this is a not for credit informational tutorial.

Target Audience: This class is specifically targeted for those users who have minimal familiarity with the CPARS process.

Focal Point Access Process (16 minutes)

This tutorial provides new Focal Points with a demonstration of how to request a Focal Point account. This tutorial also provides Department Points of Contact and Agency Points of Contact with a demonstration of how to approve or deny a Focal Point access request, how to transfer access between Focal Points, and how to view a list of current Focal Points. Note that this is a not for credit informational tutorial.

Target Audience: This tutorial is specifically targeted for new Focal Points, Department Points of Contact, and Agency Points of Contact.
